Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
The short version: PDF Desk processes your documents entirely on your own device. We have no server to receive them, we never see their contents, and there is no account to create.
This Privacy Policy explains what information PDF Desk (“PDF Desk,” “we,” “us”) does and does not handle when you use the PDF Desk web app, the iOS app, and this website (together, the “Service”).
Your documents stay on your device
PDF Desk is a local-first tool. When you open, view, rearrange, rotate, or export a PDF:
- The file is read, rendered, and edited locally — in your browser or on your iPhone.
- Your PDFs and their contents are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
- We operate no backend that receives, stores, or processes your documents.
- Exported PDFs are saved directly to a location you choose on your own device.
Because your documents never reach us, we cannot read them, share them, sell them, or lose them.
Information we do not collect
The Service does not require an account, and we do not collect:
- The contents, file names, or metadata of your PDF files.
- Your name, email address, or other personal profile information (unless you choose to email us — see Contact below).
- Behavioral analytics, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking profiles.
Information handled by this website
Running the website and the hosted web app involves some standard, limited technical processing. None of it involves the contents of your PDFs:
- Server logs. Like most web servers, our host may briefly process technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to deliver pages and keep the Service secure and reliable. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.
- Web fonts. Typefaces are served directly from this website, so your browser does not request fonts from any third-party provider.
- Local storage. The web app may use your browser’s local storage, on your own device, to remember in-progress work and preferences. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and any significant changes will be reflected on this page.
