Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Plain-language summary: PDF Desk is a free tool you run on your own device. You keep full ownership of your files, and the Service is provided “as is.”
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PDF Desk web app, iOS app, and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of the Service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service to organize and edit your own PDF documents, for personal or business purposes, subject to these Terms.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the PDF files and content you open with the Service (“Your Content”). Because PDF Desk processes Your Content locally on your device and we do not receive or store it, you are solely responsible for it — including keeping your own backups. You represent that you have the right to use any content you process with the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or the rights of others, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.
- Process content you do not have the right to access or modify.
- Attempt to disrupt the Service, gain unauthorized access to its infrastructure, or reverse engineer it for malicious purposes.
5. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, name, and logo — is owned by PDF Desk and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. Your Content remains yours.
6. Third-party services
The website relies on some third-party infrastructure (for example, hosting), and your use of those components may also be subject to the providers’ own terms. The iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store and is additionally subject to Apple’s terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss. Always keep backups of important files.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Desk and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms, at any time. When we update the Terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
